Home Remedy for a Head Cold – Chinese Medicine Style

Common Cold

This Chinese Medicine recipe is perfect for when you feel the acute onset of a cold. It is not appropriate if you have a sore throat or high fever. These ingredients have a warming effect on the body and are used to encourage sweating. Rug up in some warm, comfortable pj’s and get a good 8 hours of sleep!

What you’ll need:
1 x knob ginger
1 x clove garlic
2 x spring onion bulbs
pinch of white pepper

Boil ingredients in 3-4 cups of water. Strain liquid into a bowl or mug. Drink before bed time when temperature is safe to do so (Do not refrigerate before drinking).
